At Holistic Medical Services, we believe meaningful care requires time, individualized attention, and the ability to consider a broad range of medical and integrative approaches. For this reason, HMS intentionally operates as a non-participating, cash-pay medical practice and does not participate with private insurance plans. Our mission is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that supports healing. Insurance companies often limit the time a provider can spend with a patient and place restrictions on the type of care that can be offered. To focus on the care you deserve, we have chosen to remain out of network with all insurance plans. By remaining independent of insurance networks, our physician can focus on your health concerns, goals, and individualized Plan of Care rather than structuring care around insurance requirements, coverage limitations, or network restrictions.
At Holistic Medical Services, we are committed to making your experience as smooth and transparent as possible. We believe that high‑quality, personalized care should be accessible, and we work hard to support you in understanding your financial options. Our New Patient Coordinator or staff member offers a complimentary 15‑minute Discovery Call to walk you through our process, estimated fees, and what to expect. For those who prefer a financing option, we also partner with CareCredit.
Your Financial Responsibility & Insurance Reimbursement
Payment is due at the time of service. HMS does not bill insurance companies or submit claims on behalf of patients. When applicable, we provide an itemized walkout statement that may include diagnostic and procedure codes to assist you in independently submitting a claim to your insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is never guaranteed.
Because HMS provides integrative and functional medical care and does not participate with insurance plans, not every service will have an applicable CPT or other billing code, and some services may not be eligible for insurance reimbursement. The availability of a code or inclusion of a code on a statement does not guarantee insurance coverage or reimbursement. Any reimbursement determination is made solely by your insurance carrier.
Patients are responsible for understanding their individual insurance benefits and for submitting and following up on any claims directly with their insurance company.
Medicare Policy
Additionally, please note that we do not participate in or bill Medicare for any of our clinical services. We are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt of your services upon request.
